Gonna take a few personal days… stuff happened. Blah.
Rapunzel was in town looking for more things she could use for any of her many hobbies. She was especially looking for anything she could make paints out of. Her new walls in the castle were too white for her liking and she felt the need to cover them with her drawings and doodles. Or at least a pretty mural. She particularly loved her star chart she made in the tower but wasn’t sure if she wanted to do something completely different. She smiled at all the people and they smiled right back. She was still getting used to being around people. Eighteen years secluded in a tower with only one person to talk to kinda does that. But she was adjusting. The brunette walked around, not seeing anything she liked. She wasn’t sure if she should but Rapunzel looked to where the bridge was that lead into the forest out of the kingdom… It had been a quite day in Corona and she didn’t think she would be gone that long. After all, Rapunzel didn’t like to be in one place; she need some adventure, even if it was just sticking her feet in a nearby stream… She turned to the castle and then back to the bridge. “They won’t miss me… I’ll come right back.” She promised herself and she began walking across the bridge, away from the village and toward the forest.
The brunette Princess had never ventured off on her own before, she always had somebody, so needless to say, she was a little nervous. She tucked a piece of short brown hair behind her ear as she continued through the forest. It wasn’t too dark but it wasn’t extremely light out either. Rapunzel could tell the sun was getting ready to set.
Rapunzel rolled her eyes slightly as she watched Eugene pick from all the bowls on the table and she smirked slightly. She began to eat her pancakes and shrugged when he asked what her plans were, “I have….something I need to do. I forget but I know there’s something.” She giggled, looking toward the ceiling, trying to remember what it was. She ran her hands through her short brown hair and slid them down to her neck, “What about you?” She asked, looking at him.
“I think I’ve got some stuff to do. I was supposed to be patrolling the borders.” he said, as he slid another pancake onto his plate. “I could try to get out of it though…” he said as he stared out the window, trying to think of an excuse. He couldn’t think of any though. “Why do they even need me to go? There’s plenty of other guards that could take my place!” he said, sounding slightly frustrated.
Rapunzel shrugged, “Maybe its because you’re just so good at it?” She smiled playfully, “Oh! I think I had to help my mother with something.” She tried to think, “I could ask if she really needs me…” She smiled, “Obviously it’s not that important if I forgot.” She joked and laughed slightly.
“See, they might listen to you. Who could say no to that face?” he said, lightly touching the side of her face with his hand. “How about we meet up later this evening? I should be finished everything by then?” he said smiling.
Rapunzel’s eyes got big as she smiled, “Okay!” She said excitedly as she set her plate aside so it could be washed. She needed to find her mother soon, it was getting a little late. “Well, I’ll see you later.” She gave him a quick hug and a light kiss before she headed out of the kitchen, in search for her mother.

Rapunzel smiled, “No, that sounds like fun!” She wasn’t sure if she should go but she would anyways. “I don’t think I had to do anything important today.” The brunette giggled, looking around before starting towards the forest, “Sometimes it’s just good to get away.” She said with a dreamy sigh.
“Okay, let’s go then!” Melody smiled and the two of them headed towards the forest. She couldn’t help, but look around her environment and see all the beautiful flowers and trees. She looked at Rapunzel. “Yeah, I know what you mean.” She let out a small giggle. “So, do you ever leave Corona for a little bit to explore or do whatever you want?”
Rapunzel smiled as they walked toward the forest. She listened to her question and nodded, “Sometimes. If I don’t have things to do. I mean, ‘outside’ is still kinda new for me so I like to go and explore whenever I can.” She shrugged, “Although, I try to keep close to the kingdom…” She confessed with nervous laugh. “Do you ever just…get away?” She asked, making conversation as the two Princesses got to the forest. The brunette looked around before she continued walking.
“Isn’t it fun to go out and explore different things?” Melody asked and smiled. “Yes, I usually just go swimming out in the ocean. I don’t like being cooped up in the palace. Especially when there’s nothing to do.” She giggled, ”I don’t know how you stayed inside for so long. I would’ve gone crazy.” The two of them walked deeper into the forest. The smell from the flowers and sounds from the birds was a environment to Melody… she loved it. She found a rock near her foot and picked it up. She examined it and placed it into her bag. Looking at Rapunzel, she giggled awkwardly. “Uh.. I collect unusual items. I get it from my mother.”
“Well, inside was ALL I knew.” She shrugged, “And it did practically kill me that I couldn’t go outside. I kept asking but Gothel was just so selfish, she didn’t want to risk losing the powers to make her young.” Rapunzel explained. She watched as Melody placed a rock in her bag, “No judgement.” She giggled, “I…like to bake. And knit. And play guitar. And….I guess I do a lot of things.” She shrugged and let out a nervous laugh. “I had to keep myself busy somehow.” The brunette stopped and sat down against a tree trunk. “What sort of things have you collected?”
